Sports Turf Academy Manager
Leicester City Football Club is an English professional football club based in Leicester in the East Midlands. The club competes in the Premier League, England's top division of football, and plays its home games at the King Power Stadium.
As part of its new state of the art training facility, Leicester City Football Club will be launching its New Sports Turf Academy.
This Multi Million pound investment into the Sports Turf Academy aims to:
> Produce the next generation of exceptional Sports Turf, Greenkeeping, Horticultural and Mechanical students and give the Sports Turf industry a world class facility to educate on many levels.
> Become a leader in delivering Pitch Improvement across Grass roots sports.
> Offer a truly independent trails and research facility on site offering live trail plots and a state of the art laboratory.
> Offer High Quality tournament support to some of the worlds leading competitions and venues.
Working closely with the Head of Sports Turf, this role will offer the right candidate an opportunity to develop something truly unique and unrivalled within the industry.
With a robust business plan in place, this role will offer the candidate the opportunity to grow and develop the strategies in place alongside the Head of Sports Turf.
The candidate will be required to hold a Doctorate in Sports Turf related studies and an exceptional business acumen to help with the organisation, validation and success of the Sports Turf Academy.

> To possess a doctorate in the Sports Turf sector.
> To have experience in the educational sector.
> Have the ability to effectively manage the 4 key areas of the business plan.
> Have the ability to forge new and exciting partnerships on behalf of the academy.
> Possess the ability to produce detailed results and research papers.
> Have a clear understanding of managing budgets including PNL accounts.
> Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
> Have experience of working laboratories.
> Have experience in managing research and trials.
> Possess presentation skills.
> A clear and working understanding of Sports Turf.
> To have experience of working in Sports Turf.
> An understanding of managing a business.
> Experience of trails and research projects
> A full clean driving license
> IOSH Health and Safety Certification
> First Aid certificate
> To undertake required training, including mandatory Club Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety training.
> To ensure that the Club’s Safe-guarding and Vulnerable Adults policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
> To adhere and communicate the Club’s brand values to stakeholders whenever the opportunity arises
